About me and my practice

I'm a warm, compassionate and down-to-earth therapist. I know that choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and that finding someone you feel comfortable with can make a real difference to your experience of therapy. I bring an open, accepting and genuine approach to my work, and I value creating a relationship where you can feel at ease being yourself.

People come to therapy for many different reasons, and I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to understand you as an individual, including your experiences, relationships, circumstances and the things that matter most to you. I'm curious about what has brought you to this point, while keeping sight of where you would like to be.

My aim is for therapy to feel like a space where you don't have to put on a front or have the right words. You can bring the messy, complicated or difficult parts of life, and we can make sense of them together.

Experience

I have experience supporting adults who are neurodivergent, as well as parents of neurodivergent children. I have spent several years in a primary school supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), which has given me a valuable understanding of neurodivergence, not only the challenges the children can experience, but also the wider impact this can have on parents and family life. I bring this experience into my therapeutic work, supporting adults to understand themselves and their experiences, and offering parents a space to talk openly about the challenges, emotions and pressures that can come with parenting a neurodivergent child.

I also have experience supporting adults with a range of difficulties and life experiences, including anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship difficulties, bereavement and childhood trauma.

Initial Consultation

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation. This gives us the opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like support with. I can explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and we can talk about what you would like from therapy. There is no expectation that you need to share everything straight away. It's simply to get a sense of how I work and decide whether we would be a good fit.

Fees

My standard fee is £65 per session. I offer a limited number of concessionary spaces, subject to availability. Please feel free to enquire if needed.

When I Work

I offer appointments during the week, including daytime and evening sessions. Please get in touch to discuss current availability.
